Finding Alignment: The Story Behind My Rebrand and Logo

It’s easy to create a logo you like, but does it really reflect what your brand stands for?

When I started my business, it was called Get Content Marketing. At the time, it made perfect sense as I was helping businesses create great content that connected with their audiences. But as I continued to work under this name, I found myself not feeling aligned with what I’d set out to do.

More and more, clients weren’t just asking for content. They were asking for strategy. For support in making business decisions. For someone who could see the bigger picture and lead their marketing initiatives, not just deliver the words and visuals.

I realised that what I was doing went far beyond content creation. I was helping businesses align their marketing with their values and goals. I was working alongside them not just as a supplier, but as a partner. And that’s when I knew it was time to rebrand.

From Get Content Marketing to TEA Marketing

During my recent rebrand, I wanted something that truly reflected who I am. I didn’t want to just be seen as a marketer who gets things done, but as someone who really understands my clients. I want to help businesses make sense of their marketing without feeling overwhelmed, and to be someone they can put their trust in.

When I thought about my own business values, I kept coming back to three things: Trust, Empowerment, and Alignment. That’s where TEA Marketing came from. It also helps that one of my greatest loves is tea, and most of my best business chats happen over a hot drink. For me, it’s not just about business, it’s about connection and shared goals.

I also noticed when writing it that the two words together form TEAM, which perfectly sums up how I see my role with clients. I don’t just want to work for them; I want to be part of their team, working with them toward the same goals.

The Story Behind the Logo

When I started thinking about my logo (which, as you’ll notice, came after everything else), I looked over at my scribbled notes – yes, I’m still a pen-and-paper woman at heart – and noticed tea stains on multiple pages, where I’ve been too passionate mid-thought to find the coaster and instead plonked the mug down next to me.

And that’s where my logo came from. Those marks represented exactly what I wanted my brand to be: honest, warm, and most importantly, human.

More Than a Logo

I’ve shared this story because a logo is only one small part of a brand. It’s easy to get caught up in colours and fonts, but what really matters is what it stands for and how it connects to the people you serve.

For me, TEA Marketing is more than a name. It’s a reminder of why I do what I do: to help businesses build trust, empower themselves, and align their marketing with their true values and goals.

And to do it together, as a team.
